Project Narrative

Thirty-two keys wrapped around a stepwell courtyard on the edge of Lake Pichola. Guest rooms are deliberately restrained — lime-washed walls, jaali screens and a single deep window seat — so the view and the light do the work.

The public areas carry the craft: hand-block printed textiles, blackened brass and local sandstone sourced from quarries within sixty kilometres of the site.

Design Concept

Concept of "shelter and reveal". Guests move through compressed, dark, textured thresholds before arriving at bright, open, water-facing spaces. The contrast is deliberate — it makes the lake feel endless.

Spatial Gallery

Inside the completed space.

Documented on handover day by the studio. High-definition views of joinery, textures, and natural lighting.
